Mutt Madd-ness

This couple found this pup and took her in trying to find her family. Sadly no one has come forward. The shelters are full, and euthanizing is their only choice for too many! This family lives in Macon but are willing to transport her to an interested family. From the rescuers - I’m reaching out with an urgent but heartfelt request for help. We recently found a young female dog (photos attached) wandering with a collar but no ID tag or microchip. Despite posting flyers and sharing on social media, no owner has come forward, and we now believe she may have been abandoned. Here’s what we’ve learned about her so far: * Age: Approximately 1–2 years old, appears to have had puppies previously * Temperament: Very loving and affectionate with people, food-motivated, and well-behaved * Training: Fully potty-trained * Other animals: Unsure about her socialization with dogs (unfortunately, our own dog does not get along with her, so keeping her is not an option) We want to do everything possible to set her up for success in a new home: - This Wednesday she received all of her vaccines. - We are also committed to covering the cost of her spay surgery. - We will provide her with a kennel, blankets, and toys she has grown comfortable with. We are new to the area and trying to do the right thing for this sweet girl. Sadly, our local shelter is unable to accept any more animals, and we cannot keep her ourselves. Zane was found in a Walmart parking lot and we know very little about his life so far. He is watchful and wary, but enjoys ear scratches. He is a puppy and learning boundaries, so will need some guidance. He does reasonably well on a leash and goes into his crate and outdoor pen easily. He has seen other dogs and will bark and vocalize (especially in his crate), but isn't overly bothered by them. We do not yet know how he will react to them in close proximity. He has even seen chickens and was curious and wanted to play, but walked away when they didn't return the sentiment. We have not seen him with cats or kids. He is housebroken and rides in the car well. Please reach out if you are interested in FOSTERING or ADOPTING. We can provide a crate and supplies if you wish to foster.
