Meet Nigel, the gentle giant! This guy is 80lbs of snuggle and sweetness. He loves stuffed animals and going for walks, but isn't a big fan of riding in the car. Nigel was rescued as a stray along with his girlfriend and their puppies, whom have all found their forever homes. Now is the time for this big lug to find his home! This guy is fully vetted, neutered and was treated for heartworms. Nigel has some insecurities to overcome, and would be best suited in a home without another dog, so his owner's have plenty of time and love to devote him. Can you find it in your heart to help Nigel have his forever family?! Contact us today.

Say hello to sweetie-pie Rosie. Rosie is being fostered by one of our faves - Brooke and her pack. This lovely girl is approximately 1 1/2 years old. She is fully vetted - which includes a spay and microchip this week. According to one of our favorite trainers she has a great temperament and soft mouth which would make her an amazing family dog. According to Brooke she also gets along beautifully with Cookie and Tessa (her pups) as well as her son's bratty dog Lucie. Rosie knows sit and can shake hands. She is currently on a pretty tight bathroom schedule because she will have an accident in the house. The family has not had a lot of time to crate train her but they were working on that over the holiday. How did Rosie come to us? Her history is that she was running loose in downtown Savannah with another dog; the other dog was grazed by a car and ran off. A bystander was able to get Rosie to come. She was not chipped and was wearing no collar or tags. They checked with animal control and area vets to try to locate owners and were unsuccessful. That individual gave her to Brooke's child who is in school in Statesboro and they brought her to Marietta. According to Brooke, Rosie is super snuggly and pretty calm. She does like to play but can just as easily snuggle up with you and nap on the couch. Her two favorite things--Rosie loves the SEC and being in Brooke's lap with a good book. FYI.... she tends to like all things that are 'Go Dawgs' but foster mom is certain she would consider other teams as well. Note: Rosie is doing great with asking to go potty outside. (Yay!!) Crate training is progressing well too. Think you'd like to meet this beauty, give us a shout out!

Another VERY SAD re-homing tale. Lizzie was Autumn a young dog found by a family when they were camping in North Georgia. They contacted us over 2 years ago and we thought we had found Autumn her forever home. Now she needs another and we are again asking for your help. From foster mom - she thinks Lizzie shines! On the ride to foster home and day one: "She's an absolute sweetheart! And she seems to know some basic commands (sit, lie down, roll over) and caught on quickly when I told her to go in the pen. And she LOVED riding in the car, looking out the windows." On meeting the pack - first was Audrey: "They played in the kitchen while I made dinner. Lizzie is fantastic with her. She gets down on the floor and rolls on her back, letting Audrey jump all over her. My cats were interested in the newcomer (I have her penned in the kitchen) and she didn't even bat an eye. Daphne (cat) went running through and Lizzie made no move to even chase her, just watched it while I put myself between them. This dog is seriously a sweetheart." Lizzie update: "She is FANTASTIC! I worked from home today and introduced her to Hank. They got on very well, so I put Fred in the kitchen and let Lizzie out in the rest of the house with Audrey and Hank. She did great. Fred was next and he just started licking her face. They checked each other out and are now buddies. They've all played themselves out and are snoozing now. Lizzie has met each of the cats with various responses from them and reacted appropriately each time. She even let Daphne paw at her head (playfully, no claws) and just kind of shrugs and turns away if they hiss or run. She hasn't even chased the squirrels outside! She's a bit dainty about mud puddles and it's rather amusing to watch. If something surprises her, she checks in with me and doesn't panic. I have not yet heard her bark, but she does like to "talk". She and Hank had a "conversation" and it sounded like a couple of Wookies! That's all for now, but I will say: Those former owners are losing out, big time! She's going to make whoever adopts her very happy. " "Lizzie likes her new bed! She even shares it with the cats." Lizzie is 4 years old, fully vetted - spayed, microchipped and current on all of her monthly preventatives. She is house trained. She does not enjoy adoption days at Petco, so we will arrange private meet and greets for all interested in getting to know this pretty, young lady. Contact Mutt Madd-ness. 404-406-6322.

A little about this beauty from his foster...Max needs a forever home with a family who will have the time to play with him and go on long walks & runs with him. He is very curious, breed energetic and playful. Max's favorite game is tug of war and don't be surprised to see him greet you at the door with something in his mouth. He is sweet with people and will load you up with kisses. He knows how to sit for treats. Max is approximately a year and a half and is fully vetted and micro chipped. Max can be seen on Saturday's at Haven the Dog Spot running with the pack. You can drop in to meet him. If you need to arrange another day for meet & greet -- just let us know!
