Sami, joined our Mutt Madd-ness family on 2.26.20. At the time she was 4 pounds and extremely underweight - she is now 5.6 pounds. She is a year and a half old Yorkie-Terrier who apparently was born with spina bifida, her rear legs were severely deformed and one was infected. We have had one leg removed and she has been spayed and chipped. We will have her second leg removed in the near future. This girl is a charmer, sweet, and cuddly. She also has a wild streak and enjoys running around the house on her two front legs - she also enjoys play. She likes the company of other dogs - she perks up and likes to follow them around. We do have a wheelchair for her - but she does amazing on her own. We keep her in preemie human diapers and little newborn onesies and they seem to work - except when she runs so hard they slip off. 🙂 If you have a heart for the ones that need you the most - she is a true winner! Want to meet her - let us know. (It may have to wait until the pandemic has flattened - but she will be waiting.) You can follow her on Instagram at #sami_and_her_journey View full description »
This 14 month old is VERY low key. Cats, kids, not much bothers him. He likes a little bit of an introduction to things and people because his exposure has been limited, but once he greets - he is the sweetest lug around. Happy to sleep with you, sit with you, lay with you. Just wants you. Looking for a chill dog - you just found him! Hunter was a mostly outdoor kinda guy so we are working on his potty training, Interested in meeting this handsome boy, give us a shout out! View full description »
Buddy was rescued by a Good Samaritan when he fell off a truck last December. His leg was severely injured in the fall and when the shelter would not accept him in his condition the family kept him. Their vet amputated his leg, neutered him and caught him up on his vaccines. Tragically their daughter was recently in a serious car accident and is now at Shepherd. The family was overwhelmed and came to us for help. Buddy is now in our care - we are looking for a FOSTER or an ADOPTER for this delightful guy! Buddy is a 1.5 year old Bully Mix, he loves all people, and plays in doggie day care. He is young, so still puppy active, he is a very happy boy in need of a loving family. If you are interested in meeting him, please contact Mutt Madd-ness. View full description »
Welcome Zoe to the Mutt Madd-ness family. Zoe was adopted on 2/8 from a local shelter - the family that adopted her now have a 4-year old that is terrified — nothing to do with Zoe other than she is a dog. Zoe is approximately 1 1/2 years old and was recently spayed and vetted. They think Zoe is a hound/boxer mix - 30 pounds. We will know more about her personality in the days to come, but we have been told she is sweet and very playful. She enjoys playing outside and walked well on a leash. Was not overbearing with her child. Did well one-on-one with other dogs. Sleeps in a crate at night. She has had a couple of pee accidents in the house, but that could be due to a recent UTI and spay and new location; she appears to be mostly house-trained. Mentioned that it does not appear that she has had any command training, but she's young and will adapt to someone that spends the time with her. Zoe is adjusting quickly into her new foster home. She loves all of her new toys and of course that BIG bed! If you are interested in meeting this little girl - please reach out! View full description »
Ansley has come to us for help in re-homing this dog, if you have any questions or are interested in meeting this lovely lady, please contact Ansley at email@example.com. Dela (aka Jelly Bean) is a 2.5 year old bully mix. She is about 45 lbs. She is potty trained and knows basic commands - sit, stay, down, leave it, and off. She is also crate trained. She is full of energy and needs a home where someone can devote more time to her. She is great with kids and all people. She is a snuggle bug. She does well with the dogs in our home but does not do well with dogs she does not know. She needs more training, patience and socialization to be the best pup she can be. We absolutely love her and took her in when a friend who had rescued her passed away suddenly. She has lived in our home with two small children and two other dogs for the last year and a half but we cannot give her the time she needs. I do believe with the right training and owner she could move past her selective dog issues as she has not always had them. Dela needs a forever home to call her own and is an incredibly sweet and snuggly girl! If you have questions or would like to meet Jelly Bean please reach out to Ansley at firstname.lastname@example.org. View full description »
** GUEST POST ** Interested in meeting this handsome boy, please contact: Lori Wheelis 404-376-3776 Looking for a loving loyal companion that is always by your side ready to give unconditional love? Meet Ranger! Ranger is a 55 lb adult (7 yrs) male pit bull mix brown w white. He was found as a stray, brought to animal control (no microchip). Then when his "stray hold" time was up, he was scheduled to be euthanized. My friend rescued him, but did not have the capacity to care for him, so I am temporarily fostering Ranger while we try to re-home him. Ranger is people and dog-friendly, instantly loving, curling up on laps or at feet, tail wagging always happy to see you! He is vaccinated, heartworm negative and neutered to help him be more readily adopted. Ranger has many scars (physical and emotional) from whatever horrible past he was able to escape from. Ranger enjoys being an active part of a family and being the loving loyal companion by your side. Our hope is to find an adopter (w no young children and possibly "work from home" family) for Ranger so he can feel safe and loved at last! Contact Lori Wheelis 404-376-3776 View full description »
**WEATHER ALERT** The forecast says it's Cloudy with a chance of cuddles! This sweet boy can be shy at first (particularly with men), but warms up with a little patience. He adores kids and other dogs and would do best with at least one other dog in the family. He's learned that cats can be good friends and snuggle buddies, but can be a little overenthusiastic with them at times. If you'd like to meet him, let us know! View full description »
HELLO from Jack-O! Did you forget about me?? I am a super sweet, snuggly, inquisitive and smart young 3 yr old pup looking for my forever home! Do you find that your lap gets cold during long movies? You have crumbs all over your kitchen floor that never get picked up? Maybe you get lonely in your fenced in yard and need something to entertain you? I don't require much, I'm pretty low maintenance... Just some toys for you to toss, DEFINITELY need my horn and maybe a YAK bar for chewing, kiddie pool would be nice in the summer for lounging, but the occasional playful hose-spray to chew water is good for me too! I would do best in a house with adults or older kids, only because I don't always know my strength and wouldn't want to knock anyone over...I don't love sharing attention with other animals, so I'm sorry if that's a deal breaker - But I PROMISE I have MORE THAN ENOUGH LOVE for you! I've spent the majority of the past two years learning to be a super good boy in training, I know tricks! Last March I did a 6 week training, and I'm currently at Sleep-Away Camp with my buddy Khalvin at Tenasity Dog Training. I've learned sit, stay, come, pillow, kennel, and mastered walking on a loose leash! Mutt Madd-ness thinks I'm something really special and wanted to help make me A REALLY FUN BOY for my forever family! It sure would be nice to have a family of my own to lounge around with, not be so lonely and who would love me for me (which is A LOT of wet kisses)! If you know anyone that you think might fit this bill, please have them call my Mutt Madd-ness - I have a hard time answering the phone with my big, fat paws ?? I can't wait to meet you! I'm waiting by the phone XOXO JACK-O ?????? Contact us today! ***See a video of Jack-O at training after just a few days ---> https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1381245301989416&id=611580352289252 View full description »
